Chief Executive OfficerLuis Gallego became International Airlines Group’s chief executive in September 2020, joining from Iberia where he was chairman and chief executive from January 2014 having been appointed chief executive in March 2013.
IAG is the parent company of Aer Lingus, British Airways, Iberia, Vueling and LEVEL. It’s one of the world’s largest airline groups with 533 aircraft flying to 279 destinations and carrying around 118 million passengers each year (pre-COVID).
During his tenure at Iberia, he turned the airline around as well as improving its efficiency, customer service and brand. Before that, Luis launched Iberia Express, as chief executive from January 2012, making the new Iberia subsidiary one of the most efficient and punctual airlines in Europe.
He joined Iberia Express from Vueling where he was chief operating officer from 2009, when the airline merged with the low-cost carrier Clickair which he co-founded in 2006. He held various posts at Spanish regional airline Air Nostrum between 1997 and 2006.
Born in Madrid, he graduated in aeronautical engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and received an MBA from the IESE Business School.

Nicholas joined IAG in March 2022 as Chief Financial Officer. He previously worked at Whitbread as Group Finance Director from 2012 to 2022. He previously worked at Dixons Retail PLC, in a variety of management roles, including Chief Financial Officer from 2008 to 2011. Nicholas also held the position of Chief Financial Officer of Premier Farnell PLC, which he joined in 2011. He started his professional career as an accountant at Price Waterhouse.

Sarah Clements

General CounselSarah joined IAG in November 2022 as General Counsel and is responsible for the Group’s legal and associated compliance activity. She previously worked at GSK Plc for over four years in a variety of senior roles and more recently as Senior Vice President, Legal Head – Group Transformation and Separation. Sarah has lived and worked in Switzerland for over 10 years where she worked for Alexion Pharmaceuticals as VP, Legal - International and at Novartis Pharma in a variety of global and international legal roles. Earlier in her career she worked at the DuPont company and in private practice at Baker McKenzie.
Sarah graduated from Newcastle University with a BA(Hons) in History. She studied law at the College of Law, Chester and holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in EU Competition Law from King’s College, University of London. She is a qualified Solicitor.
Adam Daniels

Prior to joining Avios, Adam was Chief Commercial Officer at BA for three years (2015-2018). He also held positions of Chairman of British Airways Holidays, board member of City Flyer and a board member of Avios Group Ltd.
In that role Adam oversaw British Airways' worldwide commercial activity including marketing, pricing and revenue management, distribution strategy, website, call centres and digital strategy, the worldwide sales force and the Frequent Flyer Programme.
Having joined in 1992 on the BA Graduate scheme. Adam worked in Operations and Airport Customer Services at BA before moving to Commercial, he was part of the team that started ba.com and held several other key positions including Head of Call Centres, Head of UK Leisure Sales and Head of Revenue Management.
Before joining British Airways Adam spent a year in Australia after graduating from Durham University with a BA in History and Politics.

Previously he was Chief Executive Officer and executive director of Aer Lingus from January 2019. Prior to his appointment at Aer Lingus, Sean served as Director of Network and Alliances at British Airways, and a member of the Management Committee since 2016. In addition to overseeing Network and Alliances, Sean has acted as Chairman of BA's London City subsidiary BA CityFlyer and oversaw the airlines operations at London Gatwick. Prior to this, Sean was Executive Vice President Americas from 2013 to 2015, overseeing BA's commercial business in the United States, Canada and Latin America.
Sean joined British Airways in 1998 and qualified as a Management Accountant (ACMA). He has undertaken various financial, strategy, and alliance roles. He is a graduate of University College Cork and is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

She previously held senior roles in British Airways including Managing Director of Gatwick and Director of Strategy. She was also chairman of BA CityFlyer. She joined the airline in 1992. Lynne is a non-executive director of Ofgem, the UK energy regulator.
Lynne holds a degree in mathematics, an MBA and an MSc in operational research.

Before joining the Group she held different positions in Yell, Telefónica Group and Imperial Chemical Industries. She graduated from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in Business management.

Prior to joining IAG, Julio was Managing Director of NIKI Luftfahrt in Austria, Chief Commercial Officer of Airberlin in Germany and Chief Commercial Officer of Vueling Airlines in Spain holding further senior roles there from 2006.
He served as non-exec Board member at Topbonus Ltd, AB Holidays and IZair and started his career at Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
Julio has a PhD in Physics from Cologne University in Germany and has an MBA from IESE Business School in Spain.

Chair and CEO of IberiaMarco Sansavini took over as Iberia's Chairman and Chief Executive in April 2024. Prior to that he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Vueling from September 2020, after being Chief Commercial Officer of Iberia since 2013, where he was a member of the Board of Directors and played a key role in the transformation process to restore profitability and future sustainability of the Spanish airline.
Marco has a 25 years experience in the airline industry and has been working throughout Europe in Amsterdam, Zurich, Paris, Rome and Madrid.
He started at KLM in 1995 and carried a number of positions in Sales & Marketing, Alliances and M&A. In 2001 he was appointed as General Manager for Central Europe. With the Air France -KLM merger Marco moved to Paris in 2004 and held the responsibility first as VP Global Business and then as Commercial Director Europe.
In 2012 Marco took the responsibility first as Sales & Distribution Director and then as Chief Strategy & Network Officer at Alitalia.
Marco is a graduate in Economics from University of Bolonia and took an EMBA at IMD (Lausanne).
Jonathan Sullivan

Prior to IAG, Jonathan was a managing director at Accenture in a global role focused on the travel industry. He was also a partner in Seabury Consulting, an aviation focused consultancy, leading its efforts in Europe, Middle East and Africa before it was sold to Accenture in 2017. Jonathan joined Seabury in 2002.
Jonathan is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and has an MBA from INSEAD.
